Peace Electrical & Solar respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect
- Contact details — your name, phone number, email address, and the address of the property the work is for.
- Information about the job — roof type and orientation, switchboard details, your current electricity usage, photos you send us, and a recent power bill if you choose to share one.
- Website and advertising data — the pages you visit, how you arrived here, and anonymous device information collected through cookies and tracking pixels.
We only collect what we need to quote the work and complete it. You can deal with us anonymously while you are asking general questions, but we cannot prepare a quote or lodge a rebate application without your name, address and contact details.
How we collect it
- Directly from you, by phone, email, our website quote form, or a lead form on Facebook or Instagram.
- Automatically through cookies and analytics when you use this website.
- From a third party where you have asked them to pass your details on to us.
Why we use it
- To prepare and send quotes, and to book and carry out installations.
- To apply for rebates and certificates on your behalf, which means sharing your details with the scheme administrator.
- To order equipment and arrange delivery to your address.
- To meet our obligations as a licensed electrical contractor and SAA-accredited installer, including compliance paperwork and certificates of electrical safety.
- To follow up on a quote, answer your questions, and provide warranty support.
- To measure how our advertising performs.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Our own electricians and installers working on your job.
- Equipment suppliers and distributors, where an order needs a delivery address.
- Rebate and certificate scheme administrators and their agents, where you have asked us to apply on your behalf.
- Network operators and regulators, where this is needed for grid connection approval or safety compliance.
- Service providers who run our website, email and advertising, including Meta Platforms and Google, who may receive hashed or anonymous data about your visit for advertising measurement.
Cookies, advertising and tracking
This website uses cookies and tracking pixels, including the Meta pixel and Google Analytics. They record which pages you view and actions you take, such as submitting a quote form. You can turn cookies off in your browser, and you can opt out of personalised advertising in your Facebook, Instagram and Google account settings. Blocking cookies does not stop you using the site.
If you fill in a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta passes the details you entered to us. Meta’s own handling of that information is covered by Meta’s privacy policy.
How we store and protect it
Your information is held in our business email, quoting system and cloud storage, protected by passwords and access controls. We keep records for as long as we need them for the job and for warranty support, and for as long as electrical and rebate compliance rules require. After that we destroy or de-identify them.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything that is wrong. Email support@peaceelectrical.com.au or call 0403 754 245. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge, although we may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at support@peaceelectrical.com.au so we can put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
