South Australia electricity rates ~38c/kWh · Solar battery rebates still available
Every photograph on this page is one of our own jobs, taken on site. None of it is stock. If you are comparing quotes, the fastest way to judge an installer is to look at their finished work and at how the gear is mounted, routed and labelled.
These are solar installations Adelaide and the surrounding regions, photographed as we finished them. Rooftop arrays on tile and colorbond, batteries on external walls and in garages, inverters and isolators mounted and labelled. We publish them because the alternative, a page of stock photography, tells you nothing about who would actually turn up at your house.
The same electricians who quote the job do the install. That is the reason the work looks consistent from one photograph to the next.
A cross-section of recent jobs. Roof types, battery brands and switchboard situations all differ, which is exactly why a system has to be designed for the house rather than sold as a package.

You do not need to be an electrician to tell a careful install from a rushed one. Six things give it away, and they are all visible in a photo. Use these on the solar installations Adelaide companies put on their own sites, including ours, and on every quote you are comparing. Work that is signed off by an SAA-accredited installer should hold up to all six.
Rows should run parallel to the gutter with even gaps. Panels set at a slight angle to each other usually mean the rails were not set out properly, and it is the first thing a good installer gets right.
DC cable left loose across tiles degrades in UV and chafes on the roof. It should run in conduit, clipped, with no sagging loops between the array and the entry point.
Every install needs clearly marked DC and AC isolation. If an electrician cannot find the isolator in a hurry, that is a safety problem long before it is an aesthetic one.
Batteries need clearance, ventilation and a surface that will carry the weight. Units sitting directly on soil or hard against a wall with no gap are a sign of a rushed job.
Where cable enters the roof there should be a proper flashing or gland, not silicone smeared over a hole. This is the single most common cause of leaks after a solar install.
New breakers labelled, old wiring not left hanging, cover refitted. The switchboard is where the whole install terminates, and it shows whether the electrician was in a hurry.
We are not tied to one manufacturer, which means the system can be specified around your roof and your usage instead of around whatever a supplier wants moved this month. The solar installations Adelaide wide shown above use a range of brands for exactly that reason. Panel rebates are claimed through the federal small-scale scheme and applied to your quote upfront.

A stackable battery paired with a 9.99kW inverter at a home in Salisbury, South Australia. Stackable was the right call here because capacity can be added later without replacing what is already on the wall.

Yes. Every image on this page was taken on one of our own jobs as we finished it. These are solar installations Adelaide and the surrounding regions, not stock photography, because stock tells you nothing about the people who would actually be on your roof.
Often yes. We cover solar installations Adelaide wide and there is a reasonable chance we have worked near you. Ask when we come out to quote and we will tell you honestly whether we have something nearby worth looking at.
Because we are not tied to a single manufacturer. The right battery depends on your evening load, the inverter you have or are getting, and the space available to mount it. A company that fits one brand to every house is solving its own problem, not yours.
No. The electricians who quote the job are the ones who install it. That is the main reason the work looks consistent across these photographs.
It is the panel performance warranty from the manufacturer, which guarantees the panels will still produce above a stated percentage of their rated output after 25 years. Inverters, batteries and workmanship carry their own separate terms, and all of them are written on your quote rather than left implied.
It depends on grid approval and on stock, both of which we confirm before we give you a date. We would rather give you a real date and hold it than an optimistic one we have to move.
